so thankful...

James 1:2-4
"My brothers and sisters when you have many kinds of troubles, you should be full of joy, because you know that these troubles test your faith, and this will give you patience. Let your patience show itself perfectly in what you do. Then you will be perfect and complete and will have everything you need."
It goes on to talk about wisdom and asking for wisdom...Anyway I have been reading James this week and I keep going back to this verse. I have been applying it to my life and praying over it daily (patience and wisdom)...well, amazing how God works....Last night at 11:30pm Janson went to get gas b/c he knew he had to pick up some kids for school the next morning and wouldnt have time...it was raining...he went to turn on to a main street and when he did he hit a wet spot, hit his breaks, and fish-tailed across the street, across oncoming traffic, through a ditch and hit a light pole....he said it was so odd b/c w/in seconds a girl knocked on the window to see if he was ok...he kinda shook his head looked to the other window and there was an older couple standing there. He got out and the girl was gone (this is all 11:30 at night) but the older couple kinda helped him process everything...a cop came by, they towed it (we are not sure if it considered totalled yet)...he is ok, he has a gash on his head and knees are bruised up but other than that we are SOOOO GRATEFUL!!! I literally couldnt sleep last night b/c I had this amazing gratefulness/happyness and just felt clear...like God gave us a glimpse of himself last night. I have to wonder if that girl was an angel or what and then thankful for the couple there. He didnt hit anyone or oncoming traffic which is purely Gods grace and protection. So this morning as I open the work i reread this scripture and am sooo grateful for Gods comfort, love, peace and joy...
